Poppy seeds planted in remembrance
15th May 2014
Year 10 pupils study World War One (1914 – 18). They have planted poppy seeds as the poppy is a flower which is a symbol of remembrance and hope. We remember the thousands of people who died in wars all over the world and hope that all violence will come to an end.
The plants will also help increase the species bio-diversity around the school grounds, which is one of the aims of the Eco-school’s programme.
