Christmas Carol Service
We were treated to a wonderful selection of readings and music in the Hall yesterday as the College gathered together to mark the end of the first term and to reflect on and prepare for Christmas. We were delighted to be joined by Mr Brendan O'Neill from the St Vincent de Paul, who accepted hampers made up of donations from the students and their families. Mr O'Neill reminded us all of the importance of giving to those in need at this time of year and was kind enough to say that our hampers made him and the other members of the SVP feel the true meaning of Christmas.
The singing and music were wonderful and special thanks must go to Mrs Gallagher and Miss Duffy for their hard work in preparing the pupils to perform so well. All of the choir and readers were fantastic but particular mention must be made to our soloists, Lauren Teggart for her performance of 'Walkin in the Air' and also to Brendan McNamara and Michael Shields (both Year 8) whose confidence in front of the whole school was wonderful to see.
A great and very appropriate way to end the first term!
