29th Annual Golf Outing
A slight drizzle greeted our 52 past pupils and guests, when they came together at Kirkistown Castle Golf Club, on 26th June, to play for the John Thompson Memorial Trophy, plus many other prizes. Among the players were both the Captain and Vice- Captain of the club.
During the prize distribution, the headmaster, Mr Michael Breen, thanked Kirkistown Castle and their staff for helping us, once again, to host the event and also praised the condition of the course. Mr Breen wished the Lady President every success in her own competition the following day. He then read out our list of sponsors and expressed his gratitude to them for their support. Marion, Sharon and their catering staff were complimented on both the quality and keen prices of their food, as well as Andreas and his bar staff for their efficient and attentive service throughout the evening. He also acknowledged the help given by the club professional, Niall Mullan, in the selecting of the prizes and his generous donation towards the event. Finally, Kieran Smyth, Selina Smyth and Seamus Ritchie were thanked for painstakingly checking the score cards.
All prizewinners and sponsors have been listed below.
Next year we will be conducting our 30th Annual Golf Outing and since it is such a milestone, we feel it would be beneficial that a committee be formed, to help make the competition a special occasion in the life of the college. If you are interested in joining such a committee then please contact Mrs. Mary Gallagher on 02842728323 or email: mgallagher925@c2kni.net
So many of you have played such a huge part in our success throughout the past 29 years, and we want you to know how very grateful we are for your continued support. Hopefully as many of you as possible will be able to join us for this momentous occasion.
